Installing an EV charger at a home in Granada typically costs, as a guide, between €700 and €1,500, equipment and installation included. If you buy just the equipment, the charger costs between €400 and €900. The final price depends on the power, the distance to the fuse box and the type of home. These figures are indicative and are confirmed with a site visit.

It's the question we get asked the most: how much does it cost to install? The honest answer is "it depends", but it can be narrowed down quite a bit. In this guide we give you real ranges for Granada and its province and explain what moves the price, so you know what you're paying for when a quote comes in.

How much it costs to install a charger in Granada #

These are the indicative ranges we work with at CargaGranada (2026 prices):

Type of installationIndicative price
Equipment only (wallbox)€400 – €900
Home (equipment and installation)€700 – €1,500
Community garage space€900 – €1,800
Business or fleetFrom €1,500

Indicative amounts, subject to a site visit. Always ask whether the quote includes VAT.

The difference between "equipment only" and "full installation" matters: the charger is only part of it. When comparing offers, make sure you're comparing the same thing.

What a full quote should include #

A good quote details, at minimum:

  • The equipment (model, power, features).
  • The wiring and electrical protections.
  • The installation labour.
  • The documentation and certification, as applicable.
  • The warranty on the equipment and the installation.

Be wary of a very low price that doesn't detail these points: whatever isn't included tends to show up later as an "extra".

What makes the price go up or down #

The distance between the fuse box and the parking space #

This is the number one factor. The more cable, conduit and work involved, the more expensive. A space next to the fuse box is much cheaper than one 40 metres away.

The charger's power #

A 3.7 kW charger is simpler than a 7.4 or 11 kW one. But going too low isn't always the right call either: in our guide on what power you need in a wallbox we help you decide.

Single-phase or three-phase #

If your supply is three-phase and you want to make use of it, the equipment and installation are different. Three-phase allows more power, but it's only worth it if your car supports it.

Type of home #

A single-family home with its own garage is usually more straightforward. In a block of flats you need to account for the run to the parking space, the meter and, sometimes, dealing with the homeowners' association. For that case, see our guide on community garages and the price breakdown for a community installation.

The need for a separate meter or more power #

If a separate meter needs to be installed, or the contracted power increased, that adds to the cost.

Businesses and fleets #

For businesses, hotels, communities with several charging points or vehicle fleets, prices start from around €1,500 and increase with the number of points and the power. Here it's usually worth having a load management system and, in some cases, a platform that lets you charge for or monitor consumption. You'll find more information on our chargers for businesses and chargers for fleets pages.

Grants and tax relief #

The Plan MOVES III scheme closed on 31 December 2025, but there's still an IRPF (personal income tax) deduction of 15% on the cost of installing the charging point, up to a maximum base of €4,000, for installations finished before 31 December 2026. That means a €1,200 installation would give you a €180 deduction in your 2026 tax return.

We explain the conditions, deadlines and documents in our guide to the IRPF deduction for your charger and on our grants and subsidies page.
